I was practicing my forge welding the other day and this little knife happened. A logger had changed the cable on his skidder and left the old one laying on the back of my property. After testing it, even though it is small, it has to be a very tough piece of steel. It forged and heat treated well and will hold a good edge.
Forge welded from some 3/4 inch wire rope
Heat treated in my shop in my Paragon furnace
Flat grind
Stag and buffalo horn handle
Overall length: 7 1/2 inches
Blade: 3 inches
Leather scabbard with a belt loop
