Well not carbon steel and not a scandi ,but the Al Mar Sere 2000 is an awsome woods folder - it has a very strong lock,cuts great and whittles wood like a Mora It has a flat ground VG-10 blade.

If you want to get one modded a pocket bushman from cold steel would be a good one. I don't know what steel they use but it's got a good lock and it's very inexpensive.

these from puukkopekka.com is the ones that catch my eye. you can get any handle material and a pocket clip if desired.

Opinel nº 8 with carbon blade?....Ok, no scandi grid, but very cheap! (almost here in Europe)

The boy can lost, demage....and don´t worry about it!

And of course with viroblock it is almost fixbalde, yet it still folds.
