I am heading out to Freer, TX to try and get some venison and hog meat for my freezer. It nice and cold and heard the bucks are starting to chase the does. The only knife I have is the very first one I made:o I can't seem to keep one around any more.
 
Good luck Frank, post some pics when you return. You know all you have to do is make another :D

Shoot straight and often. I'm spending the weekend cutting, processing, curing the 4 whitetails my bros. and I hung up last week.

I don't actually kill them, I harvest the venison, whatever happens after that is between God and the deer.

When are you going to put the puppy back up as your avatar? That's one of my favorite pictures, that and Don's LimeKitty.

Well I am back and we didn't see a thing. Oh well I'll be back out there in January for a second try.
 
I also am not big on (me) hunting.... always get hunting and fishing licenses....and am very pro-hunting ...especially seeing what starving deer look like they went through vs a clear shot and not wasting the meat.
Oh and venison makes great chili and the tenderloins are fantastic!.. fortunately have friends who hunt successfully...
