Wish me luck RAT bros and sisters. It's pig killin' time!

300 pound pigs doesnt sound small to me. I killed a sow with a longbow a few years ago at maybe 200 pounds and I was very proud. think if i was going after Hogzilla I would prefer a 45-70. your set up sounds interesting and appears to be working for you. Have fun in your hunting and keep that freezer full.

Well it's important to keep in mind that it's a .45 frame attached to a Mech-Tech CCU. Basically it's a short carbine that fires .45ACP rounds. So far I've only plugged a couple of smaller 300+/-lb. pigs with it. I use Golden Sabers for pig hunting. They work great. Turns 'em off in a messy hurry. Though I imagine you could use just about any ammo in that thing and it would work fine. The great aspects of that setup are that there is almost no kick what so ever and it's semi-auto so you can put multiple shots in a tight grouping really fast. It feels just like firing a .22 rifle and the red dot I have on it is right on the money. I practice with that setup a lot when I go to the indoor range. I use the half dollar sized shoot 'n see target stickers. I'll empty a 10rd mag and every round hits that sticker at a rate of about two shots per second. That range is about 25 yards deep. It is a GREAT weapon. I put that thing together back in 2002 and have recommended them ever since.

Pics!!!!

Too bad about the pig.

Good job on the deer.

And I too would love to see some pic of your set up, I have never herd of that one before and am now seriously thinking about getting one. The web site had the cost of the basic unit below $400..
