Wish me luck

Well it looks like I've only got 6 months to live.........

If I were to get hit by a bus 6 months from now. :D

The valve at the top of my stomach is messed up and was leaking acid into my throat. The acid caused some damage to my esophagus (sp) and is a bit blocked from scar tissue.

And my liver is fatty from my misspent youth of hard living. Doc said to lose 15-20 lbs and no booze and he's setting me up with a gastrointerologist for the bad valve.

So I guess I'll be hanging around with you fellas a while longer.

Thanks to everyone for all the well wishes. I swear my throat has stopped hurting in last couple of days all by itself. I am surley greatful to God that it wasnt esophogial cancer, which was the early prognosis. Time to get serious and get healthy. I've got to much to live for to worried with falling apart.

Thanks Guys . It means a lot.

now get your ass down south again! Old fart ;) Guess I'll have to go north:p

Good news buddy!! My day has been made :D

Glad you have to put up with us for awhile longer you old bastid. :D

Great news :) . That makes my day.
Master will be with us a while longer. Guess I will beat some hot steel to celebrate. I'll fire up the forge to honor his fortune sometime this evening.

Well, alchohol and knives don't mix, but for Mark, I'll take a drink! ;)

Man - 4 years sober but I'll drink a Sundrop for you :D
To the non southerners a Sundrop is like a strong MT dew...

alcohol

OK just one maybe:)
you hear me talking about beer like it was going out of style
I don't drink a lot, other than when I hit the H/I's mainly..
winter I'd be lucky if I have 4-5 drinks. summer it's because of the heat
one good beer on a hot day, I've seen it cause a lot of sorrow
starting with my grand parents. so buck up Mark it's better for you to not..

actually one beer right now is better for me than one hi-test coffee
I have reactions to caffeine from drinking way to much of it for years.
so to much of anything can spoil it for the rest of your life. :grumpy:
I'll tip a glass of milk to yah Mark.. ;)

Thanks for the good news, Mark.
I had the same problem in the past.
I had to adjust my eating to cut out the foods promoted the heartburn.
For me it was steaks and tomato sauces, especially the ones with too much oregano.
The worst thing for heartburn is smoking. It causes almost instantaneous acid production.
Oh, and try not to worry about sh!t too much.
Have fun beating the crap out of some metal, and keep an eye out for that bus...

Doc didnt say nothing bout a little sweet leaf :)

Just kidding.

I dont guess a sip on very rare occasions would hurt me. Just cant pound down a quart of bourbon at one sitting.
