Wishes Can Come True!!

I carried one of those Seahorse patterns for a year in the desert and it's okay. My complaints are the (1) the main blade is too thick, and (2) the secondary blades are so thin they actually flex when cutting anything hard, which I find less than optimal on a pattern that's supposed to be for whittling.

That's a fine looking Seahorse Charlie. The only Case Seahorse I have ever owned was a gift from you! You gave me the knife at an OKCA show (dang! must have been almost a decade ago! How does the time fly by so fast?). I gave the knife away in my turn back in 2018, since as much as I loved looking at it, I never carried it. I gave the knife to Neko2 Neko2 , who took this wonderful photo of it after he received it. I thought his photo was nicer than any of the photos I ever managed of it.

Actually this is another gift thread!! I tried for many years to get Case to make a "Seahorse" (Actually a wharncliffe!) whittler in Carbon steel; since they added the pattern to the lineup!!!
Sometimes they said "sure" or "they couldn't right now" or "maybe"; but they never did anything until very recently!! I used to think it would make a great carving/whittling knife!! AusLoX AusLoX must have been listening!!!
I finally am allowed to drive again, after my eye was fixed (still healing, but I can see), so I went down to my PO in the USA and look what Austin sent me!!View attachment 2874576View attachment 2874577View attachment 2874578View attachment 2874580

I've always wanted one, and thanks to great thoughtfulness and generosity, I have one!! Many, Many thanks Austin!! And it was nice seeing you in person in Oregon!!

And that's not all for today! I've never owned a GEC Rotten Banana, and look what showed up in my storage next to that Case Seahorse!!!! An SFO from Northwest Knife Company!! Gary Norton sent me a thank you for letting him sell my SFOs over the years!!View attachment 2874591View attachment 2874596
And no Banana stains on the stainless blade!! Haa Haa!!! Thanks so much, Gary!!
A good trip down to the USA!!!
I’m glad it made it safely to the Way North! Case’s ears have been burning for years. The carbon seahorse has arrived!
