Wishing a blessed and happy Christmas to everyone

As Kevin in Home Alone would say with curled lip...Merry Christmas...ya filthy animals!

May God be with each of us this Christmas Day as we give honor and glory to not just baby Jesus, but currently on His throne at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, King Jesus! My prayer and desire is to draw closer to Jesus and remember that eternity is only one breath away and we just don't know which one, so be prepared friends!

Heard it said here that you come for knives and stay for the people here; certainly rings true for me.
Merry Christmas everyone.

Ah man, love that country. Spent a bunch of time in Monarch and would head down your way to hunt Townsend and White Sulpher Springs. Sometimes Livingston. I miss it.

Have an old friend that used to own a quarry near Monarch! Haven’t thought about that in awhile…

I love it too. I left for a couple of years and missed home too much to stay away.
IIRC, from where we’re at, you can travel your way through state land east of Highway 287 between Maudlow and Toston to get to the Elkhorns to hunt.
Still the great “Big Sky State”, if you ever make it back.

I used to own property near whitehall. One of the biggest regrets in my life that I sold it back in the '90s. Beautiful country there. Is that a family cattle ranch?

Family run horse barn.
Have some steers, heifers, and cows for training purposes. Sometimes yearling bison for the same purpose, but not this year.

Have some friends that run a cattle and hay outfit in Silver Star. Just below Table Mountain.
The wind blows harder out there than it used to, so maybe not so regrettable(?).
Unless you don’t mind wearing your hat like a bronc rider, I know it’s discouraged just about the lot of us from wearing our cowboy hats when we go to lend a hand come shipping season.
Still beautiful country though with mountain ranges and the Jefferson to occupy the imagination.
Feels better than a real job.
