"Wispy Twist" Fighter

Karl, I've always admired your work as shown on the forum, but lately, you've taken it to a new level.

You're stridin' with the big boys now-- when are you going for your M.S.?

A BIG congratulations to Karl Andersen on his Wispy Twist Fighter being judged "Best in Show" today at the 2011 Ohio Classic Knife Show.

A Twist Damascus Fighter, of 324 layers Hot-blued 1084/15N20 to take to the Ohio Classic Knife Show this weekend.
It almost looks like Ironwood, but that handle is stabilized Mesquite Burl, that sort of has it's own "twist" going on.
Take-down assembly accommodated by hot-blued mild steel fittings.
Hope ya'll enjoy:

A well deserved congratulations! That's a beautiful knife!

Well, apparently Larry Bailey thinks I should throw my camera away.
I've often complained about not being able to capture the beauty of some of my knives. I guess I didn't know how right I was.
Completely unsolicited, as soon as I lay my blades out on my table, Larry walked up, looked at this knife and said, "Karl, there's just some knives you shouldn't photograph. This looks so much better in person than your pictures, it doesn't even look like the same knife".
So, I guess you'll just have to make believe how nice it really looks.
There was a lot of nice knives, so I am truly honored to have won.
Thanks for the kind words.
