With fishing season upon us here are some pics to get you fired up.

BTW.... Noodling is now LEGAL in Texas per Texas Parks and Wildlife official state regulations!!!!:) Gonna tickle me a big ole whiskerfish once I find some water...

What did the loons do?

The loons (and ravens) can be some of the noisiest birds I have ever seen. For some reason they are quiet all day and then at night they go crazy. Had to do a lot of drinking to drown them out. ;)

This thread is making me want to go fishing again, maybe I'll dust off all my gear this weekend.

Ha ha. I love listening to the loons at night. They don't bother me when I am sleeping but I guess it's like people get used to the sound of traffic and don't even notice it when they live on a busy street. I thought maybe you got too close to a nest or they were messing with your dog(which they do).
My gear is dusted off and ready to go...just gotta wait for the ice to melt. Worse time of year, in between ice and open water season

Hard to believe not two weeks ago we were out in the boat in fair weather fishing for Walleye. We've had ~18" of snow in the last 10 days, and it's snowing pretty hard again right now. Forecast is for another 6-12 inches by tomorrow morning... :o

The local reservoir was just stocked with trout! I am so ready!

Here are a some fish pics from the last few years. I hope to get out soon.

Wow Max, those are some fish! Mind if I ask where you caught those?

Rainbow Trout and largemouth bass were caught in a Massachusetts pond. Laketrout, Landlock Salmon and Smallmouth bass were caught in Quabbin Reservoir.
Stripped Bass were all caught off of Nauset Beach, Orleans Mass. The Striper from the boat was caught just off of South Beach (1/2 mile give or take) Chatham, Ma, that was one of about two dozen that size, some lost by the boat were even bigger. That same day I caught several Sand sharks but the guide would not let me bring them in the boat for a picture, some were real big. Ill look for the bluefish pics from that day, almost 40" long.

It's not some monster from a really cool place, but here's a 4lb largemouth I caught out at our ranch last weekend. Another couple of weeks and they should really be biting.

All these pictures of warm weather, water, and fish is making me want to get out and go fishing. Great pictures everyone , keep them coming.

Great looking fish. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever heard anyone say "Man, that's one ugly fist" :D Makes me miss home. But then again, fishing up there doesn't start till middle of May.
