They were designed as IR illuminators for the US Military, and make GREAT regular flashlights. They take Surefire heads and tails, regular drop in LED's. They are designed for 18650 (or 2x 18350) rechargeable batteries. They have the lip to hold the batts in the head, excellent knurling, and are o-ring sealed. Also available for trade are the matching tail caps, and even genuine Surefire Z44 bezels in black, if you want to make a complete flashlight. Withdrawn
