This is from earlier in my knife making days when I used premade blanks. Time for it to find a home other than my cabinet! Asking WITHDRAWN including expedited shipping with tracking and insurance.

Overall length: 10-1/4"
Cutting Edge: 5-3/4" (false upper edge)
Thickness: 4mm
Steel: 9cr14MoV high-carbon stainless steel
Handle: Bocotte wood, camo G10, 3/32 brass pins
Sheath: Kydex with paracord for versatile attachment options

Thanks for looking!

Do you have more info on who, or where, the blank was made? I think most of the 9cr sources are good but I'm curious as to how good the HT would be, or did you get that pre-HT and have the treated afterwards?

Hollow grind?

There must be some mistake. This can't be $75

I am still relatively new at this, and I have to admit that I sometimes want to weep when I see the amazing work of the others on this site, and I know I don't compare, so thank you very much for the kind words. As you can see from the pics, the subhilt has some machining marks left in it that I left in because I didn't want to risk ruining the knife. The imperfect fit and finish of the handle has caused me to keep the asking price low. That being said, I am happy with this piece, because despite its imperfections, it is good looking, comfortable and tough.

It is the S49 El Tigre Fighting Bowie from Premium Knife Supply. It is hollow ground. I received it pre-heat treated. Everyone I have made a 9cr knife for using their blanks has been impressed with their performance.

Thank you both for looking!

hey david... just from my experience, NEVER worry about "ruining" a knife by working on the finishes. being satisfied with "good enough" won't push you to make the breakthroughs in your work that will come with trying new things and perfecting them over time. great effort... i've still never had the guts to try a sub hilt fighter and i've been at this for a long time. keep it up.

Thank you for the encouragement. I have withdrawn the knife from sale.
