Hi all,
For sale is a Gene Wiseman Sod Buster in black micarta.
First I'll take it, followed by e-mail or PM gets it. CONUS. Paypal only please, no gift payments. Paypal fees and USPS First Class shipping with delivery confirmation are included in asking prices. Feel free to message me any questions you might have.
---------------------------------------------------
3 1/2" inches closed
2 3/4" D2 blade
2 1/2" cutting edge
Black canvas micarta scales
Stamped "D" opposite the maker's name to indicate the knife was made in 2013
This is my favorite take on the Sod Buster pattern I've yet to encounter with a sunk joint and a nice pointy tip. I wouldn't be selling it if I weren't currently hard up for money.
I purchased this knife last month and it has been carried just a few times and never used for anything more than opening mail. It came to me with a small burr near the base of the blade edge that I gently removed with the ultrafine stone on the Sharpmaker. Asides from that it has never been sharpened. In near-mint condition with no scratches to the blade or handle. Centered blade, medium pull with half-stop, flush in all three positions. The edge grinds aren't perfectly even, but it's screaming sharp. There is a SLIGHT amount of side to side blade play in the open position. Not enough to bother a stickler such as myself, but if it is an issue I'm sure Mr. Wiseman would be willing to fix it. Comes with the original leather lanyard that I fashioned to my own liking.
