Withdrawn and sending to CRK for inspection
Large Inkosi Tanto w/ S35VN blade and plain bead blasted scales
$380 PayPal F&F or $395 PayPal G&S w/ USPS Priority Shipping
I believe I'm the second owner of this one. Scales have some signs of carry but nothing a spa trip wouldn't fix. Glassy smooth, centered, clean lock up. Standard CRK excellence. The blade is clean other than a very tiny mark on the tanto grind near the tip - I was able to capture that in my photos. Some standard fading of the blue thumb studs. The edge's apex showed some signs of light use but I was able to strop everything out and it's very sharp. Comes with box, cloth, docs, but no lock tite or lube. It did not come with the original wrenches so I am throwing in some brand new Wiha wrenches.
One thing to note: It appears that the chamfering on the inside of the lock bar was not milled out to spec, and is not as pronounced as other CRK's. As a result the edge of the lock bar that you push with your thumb has more of a corner than usual (hopefully that makes sense). It doesn't feel much different to me unless you are opening and closing it over and over again. I'd say the milling is about 50% of the standard milling. I started to sand down the area to soften the corner but got distracted and eventually found another Inkosi in a configuration that I like more. I'd love to hear from anyone else that has seen this before. Happy to provide more photos or answer any other questions. I will add that I have looked this over side by side with other Inkosis, through a jeweler's loupe, and I have no reason to believe this is a fake.
