I am a long-time user of Crawford knives, not a collector. I came across this Perfigo (means “ I pierce” in Latin) flipper that I would have to describe as a mini Perfigo. It is a light and very handy knife.
The blade is 0.14 inch thick S30V and is 3.7 inches long and is a bead blasted finish. It is marked with the “Crawford” logo on the show side and “Proto 00” on the other side.
The handle is 5.1 inches long made of 0.15 thick bead blasted Titanium that has been smoothly contoured to a 0.08 thickness at the edges and is anodized dark blue/gray. The knife is set up for tip down carry with a typical Crawford pocket clip. Not sure of the backspacer material. The knife weighs 4.4 ounces.
The overall condition is 95%+ and lock up is tight in all directions. The blade is centered. There is a tiny bit of lock stick when closing the blade. The detent is light but the blade will not easily shake open.
I contacted Wes Crawford who told me that Pat handmade this knife as an experiment and that it is the only one in existence.
I’d like to see it end up in a Crawford collection.
I’m generally not interested in trades but might consider an ADV (Andre de Villiers) folder, lightly used is OK.
