This is a truly awesome refinished axe. It has been fully restored and expertly fit with a new hickory handle. The head is in awesome used shape and no rust, chips or cracks. The tool has been treated with several coats of boiled linseed oil, and the new wooden wedge is rock solid tight. It has also been hand sharpened. The bevel is perfect and the edge is SHARP! This fantastic vintage axe is likely better than new, and the equal or better of any axe sold today. It is ready for work.
The tool weighs 4-1/2lbs and is 28" long. The 3-1/4lb head is 7-1/8" long with a 4-1/4" edge.
