Hey guys,

I'm looking to sell my custom Rod Olson JV Galaxy knife. It's a great little knife and a perfect edc! The only reason I'm selling it, is because I have a chance at one of my grails and I need the cash to try and fund that.

The knife was recently serviced by the maker Rod. I just received it back from him A couple of weeks ago, just sent it in to be cleaned, oiled and tuned up a bit (as it's not super easy to disassemble given the custom hardware).

I'm looking to sell it for $900 USD-> Withdrawn net shipped (Canada or CONUS)

(Monkey Edge is currently selling an almost identical knife with an inferior blade steel (RWL-34 instead of S90V) for $1,150 USD/$1515 CAD - http://www.monkeyedge.com/Rod-Olson-JV-Galaxy-Tumbled-w-Moku-Ti-p/rok0049-ov344.htm)

Specs:
  • Blade Steel: S90V
  • Blade length: 3.5", but the cutting edge is: 3"
  • Overall length: 7.5"
  • Blade Thickness: 0.156" (Hollow ground)
  • Button-lock
  • Weight: 5.1 oz

Description:

  • The knife is handmade by Rod here in Canada and was designed by Jared Von Otterloo, who does work for a lot of popular knife makers (Todd Begg, JDVD, etc...).
  • The knife has incredibly well done fit & finish and is in excellent shape! I can't find much to report in terms of wear and tear, but there's a full photo gallery, so please take a look for yourself.
  • The knife is still sharp and hasn't been sharpened, S90V really hold an edge like nothing else.
  • One of the benefits of the button lock, is that it doesn't take up nearly as much space in the knife as a traditional liner or frame lock, so you get an amazing blade to handle ratio!

Thanks very much for taking a look! Please let me know if you have any questions, or if you are interested in purchasing the knife or making an offer
