Gen 6 XM with Insingo blade of 20CV
What I have for sale today is a rather new purchase of mine. I got this unit because I just wanted to see the big difference between the Gen 4 and the Gen 6.
The detent on this came perfect out of the box. I normally have to increase the size of the hole in the blade and mess around with the lockbar tension. This did not require any modifications. The flipping action on this is really nice and it drops shut while still being perfectly centered. if you do not wish to have it drop shut you can add a little bit of resistance on the pivot screw. I have not put any threadlocker on any of the hardware on this particular knife.
I will show a couple of screenshots in order for you to see what this unit cost. I will not beat you up on the price even though these are currently difficult to get and this one in my opinion is better than factory because of the sharpening job. It comes with the original black g10 scale, box, peanuts and everything it shipped with.
I did sharpen this up with my wicked edge. I put a polished bevel on this at 20 1/2 degrees per side. This was just a copy of the factory secondary bevel grind. I then applied a 600 grit micro bevel a few more degrees obtuse. I was planning to keep this knife. I normally do not put so much time and effort into an edge if the knife is not deserving of it. This one is.
With shipping this cost me around $740.
I am asking $680 shipped in Canada via Xpresspost and insured. This is the most thinly ground blade from Hinderer I have ever seen. It actually has the geometry to function as a good cutter. The big bonus is it is already in Canada. I just lost 2 myself to the CBSA .
