These have some type of unique anodization process done to the handles which gives them a black ice or black chrome look to them. A lot of people think that these look fantastic (my self included). The anodization/coating is not really a typical anodization and it is not a coating. It is some high tech stuff that should not wear away over time. A quick google search should bring up more photos and information. Other than the special handles and the sheaths, these are the same as the Spirit X models.
