This is a beautiful, like new, fully refinished Collins Legitimus axe hung on a new ash handle. The head is in near new condition with zero rust and barley any signs of use. The bit is barely touched and the eye and poll are near perfect. All of the original factory forging and grind marks are still perfectly visible. The handle is a brand new ash replacement handle that has been fit to this head. The wedge is rock solid and the head will not budge, it is super tight. The entire axe has been treated with several coats of raw linseed oil. This refinished axe is awesome.
The axe is 32" long and weighs just under 5lbs. The 3.5lb head is 7-7/8" long with a 4-5/8" edge.
