From my research I will assume D2 steel though not sure, now on to knife description
Blade edge seems never to be have been sharpened
Case and knife appear to be carried alot but knife edge looks to be little use....
Knife was stored in case, where knife touched/rubbed leather formed light pitting...it is there and apparent, look at pictures....
If you don't have this configuration and want one this is the only I have seen, if you want a big, tough, heavy chopper I think it is D2 from my research
