J. MASON KWAIKEN in AEB-L & “Cognac” Rayskin - Carried but only used to cut paper. Sheath shows signs of wear from carry and has an extra hole that I drilled to accommodate a crossdraw paracord loop. Beautiful yellowish-beige colored (called “cognac”) rayskin under the epoxy hardened handle wrap. Would totally keep this but I have another of his blades in the mail that I’ll carry more.

Steel - AEBL stainless. 3/16 thick.
OAL - 6 3/4in
Blade length - 3 1/4in

If you hold the kydex vertical (being careful to not apply much pressure by squeezing) with the handle pointing straight down and vigorously shake it does it hold tight? I've been wanting a J. MASON Kwaiken for a while but been worried about how well the kydex retention is with a blade / handle profile like that since I carry with my rig upside down.

Nope. Just tested it and it’s pretty stinking secure. The handle wrap is epoxy hardened so it snaps into the sheath with a nice “pop”. Shoot me your email address and I can send you a video if you want.
