This Item Is No Longer For Sale

#1:

Blade: 5 5/16"

Handle: 4 3/4"

Thickness Right In Front Of Plunge Line: .169"
Thickness in Ricasso: .188"

Steel: D2

Heat Treat: Paul Bos for 61 RC

Handle: Black paper micarta, stabilized spalted maple stabilized by K & G, G/Flex epoxy, brass fixtures. The front fastener on the handle is a pin, the other two fasteners are corbys.

The little black holes are worm holes that are (imperfectly) filled with superglue.

There are some minor cosmetic issues: the plunge lines are not perfect and there is a spot of haziness in the finish, right at the front of that brass pin, on the right-hand side of the handle. I think you can see it in the pictures.

Also, according to feedback I have gotten, the front part of handle is kind of thin for pushing through hard material.

White spots on the bevel are lint.

For this rig, materials cost + heat treat cost = $80 - $90.
