Withdrawn -- I had a clone 940-1 was duped but fortunately it was brought to my attention before anyone bought it from me, and hopefully in time for me to recover my money from the guy who sold it to me.

Hmmm. The Benchmade logo does look like it is lower than it should be. I'm going to pause the thread while I investigate further. The handle is a very good copy if it is not authentic. Are there any other clues I should be looking for?
 
Thanks for the heads up. I just did a search and it turns out that people are cloning these. I am going to take this up with the guy who sold it to me.
