I have a DEK1 that I bought used and carried for about couple months, until I picked up an FK2, which works better for me, doing electrical/construction work. As much as I like the DEK, I don’t collect; I use them. Have an EDC now that I carry daily. DEK just a little big for my tastes to edc.
Knife is not perfect. Previous owner sharpened on a KME. It’s not prettiest edge but was sharp enough that I haven’t done anything except strop it. It has a ding from a sharpening stone at the bottom of the grind plunge and a couple small pepper marks, on the right side, that aren’t really noticeable unless you’re looking. I rubbed them out with the edge of a copper penny; got rid of the black. Have black canvas and double red buffed scales.
Let me know if you’re interested in pics and I’ll try to get some to you tonight. Going to be busy all day. Mother in law got flooded Saturday and have a mess on my hands. Heading out now to replace her electric service.
I’d rather see someone use it than sit in the safe and wouldn’t mind a backup EDC.
