Wives & Your Knives?

I've been going kind of nuts, lately buying knives lately.......a lot of them. I got a nice little Laguiole at a knife show last week and for the first time she goes, gee I wouldn't mind if I could use that. :-)
I gave it to her and then went out and bought a MT Kestrel. Golly, honey they're about the same size.:-):-):-):-)

Some of you guys are lucky. My wife just keeps making the same type of comments when she gets the mail and another box arrives.

For me, my love has always been with autos, primarily MT's. As a single person I never had to think twice about buying one, the question was...how many? Now, after being married for a couple of years, things changed (only a little). My wife loved my collection from the begining, as she used to work in the knife department at a sporting goods store. She never heard of MT before me. Her favorites are the OTF types such as the Halo's and the Nemesis. She is great and very understanding (most of the time). I now have to limit my knife purchases to birthdays, Valentines Days, and Christmas'. That's o.k with me because MT only puts out a couple knives a year anyway. Her only wish is that the amount of money that is spent on me for my knives is equaled to the amount she can spend on designer clothes (her hobby). Not a bad deal.
 
Well she thinks it's kind of strange to want or have more than a couple of knives. Now that my son is now getting his own collection she is afraid it might be contagious. She just said how cute the Micra was so maybe it is.
