I guess you really might want to come check out the UGLY knife and show me why it won't work...
I'm fairly open to suggestions..
There will be Jar Heads at the seminar..
You can ask them how it works..
seriously..come check it out and if you still don't like it well OK you don't like it...

The blade is to short and penetration is further limited by the large guard. 2 1/2" of penetration is not enought to reliably reach the major blood vessels in the chest cavity.
On a large muscular opponent 2 1/2" may not be enought to even reach a lung.
as a slasher it may be effective, but so will a $15.00 Ladybug. slashing only requires a sharpe edge. Destroying the heart or aoerta requires penetration.

guess what! I don't want to penetrate the heart..nor KILL THEM...its not a Combat knife
It wasn't designed to do that.
Its self limiting ...

so you're right, but to do what you want, I'd need a 7" blade..Thats why RANDALLs are designed that way for the old war blades..( thats stated in the Randall museum in the articles about designing the 1-7, the 2-7 and of course the model 14...)
Only this isn't war nor was the GUNTING designed that way..or for that purpose!
So, you're right..its not designed to go into the body right through the heart..
and yes..it probably won't go through those internal organs you seem to be looking for.

Oh, by the way..if you stuck it in me 2 1/2 -3 inches I'd be a hurting unit...as with most people..ROFL..

Well Aar15Fan..I'd say the GUNTING and any other small to medium tactical folder is not what you want...
especially a MBC one...
you are right..its not for you..

Buy a fixed blade! You'll have better luck!

Once you penatrate (not bone) even with a 2.5 inch blade once you thrust in, your in! now when your in just cut a bigger hole and get your blade in to do the job.In other words once you thrust the blade in cut down ,sideways up or where ever it will get bigger(the hole) then go in and rip sh*t apart out or whatever you like

sorry bram I know you didnt design it this way its just my way of thinking and ways of doing things. so all you really need is a good point and sharp edge and let everything else take its place!
 
I'm in on this one."You shouldn't judge a book by its cover",ever heard it?In the right hands the Gunting is the perfect defense against an attacker.In war the M-60 is the perfect defense against an attacker.Difference being that if you have no training you wouldn't think much of the Gunting,but would think lots of the gun.Those who are skilled will enjoy all that this tool will accomplish.And there is no need for a confirmed kill accross the street.LISTEN TO BRAM and then decide.I would love to see his seminar,and I have talked with some who have.You can't go wrong.Succesfully complete a forward thrust with the top of the ramp to the chin or triangle and see for yourself there will be no need to go any further.I hope on the street you never have to.And in war,kill em all.

Tis true,Ah just remember also dont do the stab and pull out and stab again uh uh,when you go in keep going in dont pull out let the knife do the work,Hell keep going till you hit spine..Eeeewww

You will puncture pleanty of organs and dice em upo as well,try it out if anyone knows a butcher gut the cow or even you hunters out there keep going till you hit elbow! its fun what a small blade can do!!
 
yipes...you bet it works..
I cut an 8 inch deep slash with my little 3 inch toad sticker..meat ( flesh) compacts as I hit and the blade keeps going on in..
The looks are great, really funny on peoples faces when my hand disapears into the wound channel after the cut...

I don't cut like that on my old tapes..
A tiny three inch blade will not cut right through other things...
