woden vice ?

I just picked up a "woden" vice. The jaws are 6" wide and it opens 8". Cast into the body are the words, Woden, Made in England and the numbers 1868/6.. Has anyone heard of these?? Is the 1868/6 the year and month of manufacture? Thanks for any help..

I was wondering when I'd find someone else who had one! I picked one up at a garage sale for $5 about 3 weeks ago. Heavy as hell, with a rotating base. Mine is marked 186 then a space and then 6. I assumed the 186 was a part number or vise style and the 6 was for the jaw measurement.
