It broke when I hammered it against the same 8" cement nails that I used for the mean street and the carothrs 3v. It endured about .5 to 2 minutes of hammering before failure. The INFI and 3v went 7 minutes and never broke. Still the kabar did well in my opinion.
Least you still have a decent sized blade if it were a survival situation.

Yeah, about the only equivalent in the survival situation would be a knot or log that is so dense and hard, it cannot be cut thru. I think after a bunch of hits, you would pull the knife and go somewhere else. Considering it took 80 hits or so before it broke, I would say the knife was reasonably tough.
