Happy Holidays BF,
the bills need to be paid or I wouldn't be selling any of these out of production beauties.
Mark Wohlwend isn't making knives anymore & it's a shame because he made some good users before he flaked out & got banned.
(hate the maker,not the knives
)
First is a lightly used Large Bushcrafter made of 1/8" L6 with the forge finish on the flats.
Brown Micarta & red liners for the handle.Brass & Aluminum pins.Very comfortable & hand filling with nice rounded edges.
The blade is 5 1/4" to the plunge line with a scandi grind & the handle is 4 5/8".
The sheath is made by me & comes with the EESE pouch & tin.No firesteel, but the loop takes a 5/16" rod.Holes spaced for Tek-Loks.
This knife came to me at work & I took it out back & tested it with some light chopping & feather stick making.
After chopping on a 4X4 I noticed rolls in the edge.Damn.
I Contacted Mark & sent it back & he re-heat treated it & changed the scales from Black to the Brown Micarta on it now as per my request.
Naturally I tested it when I got it back from Mark & it is good to go with no dings, rolls or chips after the re-heat treating.
$140.00 shipped.
Next is a standard Bushcrafter in 1/8" O1 & Cocobolo.
The scandi ground blade is 4" to the plunge & the handle is 4 5/8".
This is also used, but not abused.
I asked Mark about it & he said it is one of his early pre-California guardless Bushcrafters he made while living in Missouri.
The handle on this one is also very comfortable with no hot spots in use.
JRE(?) sheath included.
$135.00 shipped.
Next is a full tang Puukko in 3/32" L6 or 1095,(not sure which) with forge finish on the flats & Olivewood scales with red liners.
The scandi ground blade is 2 15/16" to the plunge line & the handle is 4 1/8".
This is also used, but not abused.
Kydex sheath included.
$95.00.00 shipped.
Next is a B&T.Mark called it a One Off Hunter/Skinner,but given it's size I like Bird & Trout better.
It is made of 1/8" L6 with Burlap Micarta scales & Red liners.
Full flat grind with forge finish on the flats.
The blade is 2 3/4" to the handle & the handle is 3 3/4".
I have only sharpened it with a ceramic stick, otherwise it is unused, but it do have some kydex scratches.
Kydex sheath included.
$75.00 shipped.
And last are some tin knifes & a necker.
The top one is just a standard tin knife I blued using a blueing touchup pen.
The OAL is 3 3/4" with a 1 1/2" cutting edge.
The rear of the blade edge originally came back into the guard area & I ground it down so it wouldn't poke my finger.
L6 steel,1/8 thick. With leather sheath for pocket or keychain. $30.00 shipped.
The middle one I put Tan Micarta scales on.The pins are Black Micarta. The blade is also blued.
The OAL is 3 3/4" with a 1 7/16" cutting edge.
I ground off a little more of the rear of the edge for safety's sake & put a shallow thumb ramp in the top spine after trying to do some thumb notches in it.
Orange Kydex sheath by me.It can be worn as a necker,on a keychain or it'll disappear in your pocket until needed. $40.00 shipped
And the bottom one is a little one off Mark made for the fun of it out of 1/8"1095.
The OAL is 3 15/16" with a 1 11/16" cutting edge.
It has antler scales & comes with the Alligator look leather neck/pocket sheath.
Full flat grind. That is RenWax on the blade in the pic, sorry about that. $50.00 shipped.
All knives will be shipped with RenWax on 'em.
