From the looks of it, a round bottom? If so, I assume you have a gas cooktop or burner you're planning to use? Get it crazy hot, anything less just doesn't seem to ever work for me.

Awesome S2f!!! I post all my non knife stuff here too to show everyone there's more you can use al your forging tools for then just knives, and the best thing about ironwork is you get to spend alot of time in the forge and NONE at the grinder!

Don, yes, one heat in the center then 4 heats around the whole thing, I did this 4 times.\

Jawilder, good idea I need to try that!! Also want to try a sawblade I used a round nosed hammer and sunk it into a round swage, which is pretty much the bottom cut off an old oxygen cylinder.

Adam it's got a little flat, I have an electric stove. And yes VERY hot.
