thanks for the info,these pic"s are killing me,i looked back a way"s and he,kentucky, did some rough finish with a short beard, i think it was,oh my goodness,he makes good lookin hawks.

m3mphis, my apologies if I might use your thread to clarify some info..The hold is indeed only temporary Back when I did this I made the mistake of taking to many orders and getting months behind..Then family issues came up, then farm issues,etc..It was a nightmare for me..One of the first things I told Lisa was she would be better off not taking so many orders that she gets that far behind..When you take some, get them done and then take more.. I really hope no one gets annoyed at this but its really for the customers sake..I cringe whenever I hear "I ordered it four months ago and they keep telling me X" because I wouldent want that for myself..made that mistake already, wont happen again;) Lisa also still sells at craft fairs and such so she dosnt want to steal from Peter to pay Paul either :D

I emailed you guys, if you have any already made and unsold hawks I wouldn't mind buying one. I don't need anything custom. :)

Do it man. I've only held cold steel hawks and I will never go that direction again. I was showing it off to my daughter and she said "is it sharp". I whipped off some of my arm and chest hair to demonstrate, I started on my face but she protested. I will spare you all those pics. This bad boy is light and lethal. I've got some decorative mods in mind which is why I asked for the unfinished haft.
 
Love that hawk M3mphis. I knew you would come around once you got a nice hawk in you hands. Axes always get upset when a sexy hawk comes around.

Thanks, Howard. I'm definitely excited to go chop up and split some small firewood. We'll just see...

Side note: I just made another post to the quickbooks community forum...ugh...what a drag...this place is SO much more fun!!!

Honestly, I'm impressed with this thing. I'm astounded that I only paid $50 + shipping. A bargain in my book. It's beautiful. The bevels, the handle, everything is top notch. Thank you very much to Kentucky and to Lisa, I'm pleased as punch.

Maybe I can take some better photos later on, but I know several of you have one of these coming.

Good Looking blade there. If I knew it would have looked that nice, I would have ordered one first time around.
