Forged belt axe -hatchet, hafted in curly maple. Head is approximately 6 inches long, with a 3 - 1/4 inch cutting edge. Length overall, from wedge to handle end is 14 - 3 -1/4 inches. Simple leather edge cover. Axe has developed a slight patina from storage, but is unused. Originally purchased by me on Maker's Forum in 2012. That sales thread has a link to the maker's forging process.
