I have one of those but it doesn't say Wolf Pup on the blade or have the number on the handle. Oh, and next time get a better model, not some hobo off the street.
Interesting. I have one as well but the TOPS logo is on the blade. There is no name or number on either the handle or the blade. Seems a little heavy for neck carry but I've attached it to my PFD while rafting.
Now you've got me thinking about attaching this to my RAT-7 sheath for finer work.
I used the Pup to carve up a pork roast I cooked in the spit last night. The scales got pretty greasy while doing that. They seemed to have absorbed pork grease because even after washing and drying the scales are blackened. This doesn't have any bearing on performence, just a side note.
You know what, I was just going to put that I'd think the RAT3 would make a better all round blade but seeing as my WP is my most carried knife how can I say that ?
I now even slip my WP in my pocket at times when I always used to carry a folder.....I think it must be about as small as you can go while still keeping it super tough and usefull !!!!
The wolf pup is a great wee knife, i have used mine for everything from laying carpet to splitting wood to opening letters.
I have to totaly black blade with only a number and logo in the handle. seems Tops are always changing there knives a little bit. i have two scalpels that are different as well.
