Wolfgang Loerchner • Pinnacle Artist & Maker

Boy, I love those knives. My favorite are the flowing single edge pieces.

My very modest contribution:

My head didn't explode, but I put on a bib because of the drool. I'm with you, Coop, I can never get enough of his art.

Thanks Joss. Nice addition.

Yeah, I also revere Wolfe's work. (For the future just search 'Loerchner' in this forum's titles, and you can reclaim your fix. :))

As I look the pieces over, he has a pretty familiar constant of opposing curves. Not necessarily symmetrical, but always repeating. Very engaging.

Glad you folks like them like I do.

I love this gentleman's work. He's one you just keep going back to for another look. Thanks for the thread Coop. Dwayne

Does he still work with the talented young engraver Martin Butler ? You can see his work on many of the pictures that were listed.

O,M,G I dont think I have EVER seen such beautifull knives, and what really hurts, is that I will probably never get to own such a awesome knife!!

just amazing. both ths knives and photography join together to form a truely great treat for the eye. love them all.

He can just do it over and over and over. What a talented artist and treat for me. Thanks Coop.

Thanks very much for the images. Some day I hope I'll get to see some of Mr. Loerchner's work in person. His work always stops me cold for a good look and needless to say, this bunch will keep me looking for a long time.

Glad this thread got bumped. What a terrific collection of knives and images ...the visual definition of Art Knife - an iconic flowing style - endlessly beautiful.
