Good evening all,
I've got a a great mid-sized kitchen slicer up for sale today. The blade is Wolfram carbon steel which is very clean Tungsten alloyed Carbon tool steel from Sheffield in the UK. It takes an amazing edge and holds it very well compared to other carbon steels. The handle is stabilized curly Red Gum that has wonderful chatoyance.
SPECS:
OAL: 11.5"
BLADE: 6.5" long, 2.0" heel height. It has been hand finished to 600 grit and then etched in FeCl to darken it. The grind is hybrid full flat/convex which is down to 0.006" before sharpening.
STEEL: 0.10" Wolfram carbon steel heat treated to RC63.
HANDLE: K&G stabilized Red Gum with black and Ivory G10 liners and black micarta pins.
