I am going to meet an L.A. blonde next week and I have no clue about such things, as I have never worn it.

Seeing as you're from texas, I think "Stetson" is a good choice.
My wife loves it and i've gotten compliments on it before.
It's probably in the $20-$30 or so dollar range.

The trick though, danny, is not to use too much.
If you're gassing them out with it, no woman will want to get close

chloroform aftershave? what a clever idea..

Or Rufenol aftershave...... Better check first that is doesnt have the same effect on you, thru absorbtion.
Otherwise you wake up on the bathroom floor and your date gets stood up.

The problem is, and studies have shown, that odor is very subjective. Women have different opinions durring their cycles, and certain women will like the way you smell, others won't. Some will like you only a few days a month.
Now, add an aftershave, and it's more complex.
I'd have other women give their opinion on what aftershaves smell good on you. The idea is that it merges with your odor, not dominates or clashes.
Studies also show that women will find you more interesting if you smell like you've been with a woman. So, borrow some panties? Just kidding!

Now that was funny, good stuff.

I got a small spray bottle of stetson - $10 at wally world. I'll find out soon enough if she likes it and then cease and desist or carry on.

It could be a good topic for conversation to ask what kind of aftershave she likes the scent of........

I'd rather not stir up memories of past boyfriends.. And I really don't want to piss her off. She is a bodybuilder.

I wear Old Spice Pure Sport...everyone asks what cologne I am wearing, and women frequently lean in to get a whiff! My wife loves it as well, and it runs cheap, $4-6 per bottle... but like others have said, find out what she likes, and go with it! Don't mess with a bodybuilder!:eek::eek:

hey Danny good luck with your date...don't ever worry about pissing women off...it usually comes naturally...so relax and have a good time...and always remember the harder you try the worse it gets....:-)

have fun

If you would like to explore some out-of-the-ordinary scents I have several reviews over at Badger and Blade. Search for reviews started by Howard.

If you really get into the subject you may want to explore Basenotes. I'm Howard Wallace over there. I have several notes over there on discontinued fragrances in the fragrance directory.

There's a lot to explore in the primitive olfactory regions of the brain.

Here are 3 ideas to get you started. Knize Ten - Eucris - 4711 Echt Kölnisch Wasser
