Hi guys. New to this forum.

Spent the last week going through the attic with dad and found some interesting stuff. This includes two hatchets in excellent condition, both manufactured by Marble's. Have heard that name alot around the knife forum and was wondering what I've got here.

One is a #5 with the flip up blade guard. The other is a similar design but fully metal with black bakelite grips.

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks,
Dietrich

I've actually used it a fair amount camping. Great little hatchet. Wonder why no one else does the clip up blade cover.

I would keep that one as a wall hanger. a quick internet search shows the vintage #1,2 etc all metal ones going for several hundreds of dollars in good shape, of course. good score.

Check on ebay for the early metal handled one, there's usually a few on there and they go for pretty good money.

Regards

Robin
