i have just won a 1979 Case XX6165 and went looking for a forum with all the information available here and lo and behold there is not special CASE Knives Collectors Forum. was wondering why? and hey any help with the history of CASE 6165 would be appreciated.

No idea Delmas, you might try the Traditional Folders and Fixed Blades forum, lots of Case folks over there.
