I'll change the status as they get shipped and received. Blue means shipped, Green means received.

Instructions to KITH members:
1) Pack your knife securely. It is best to put the knife in the sheath or case, with a secure protection over the point and edge, and then strap that to a piece of heavy cardboard that won't slide around in the box. Pad the inside of the box well. I prefer using bubble wrap. Using a good size box usually makes the item getting lost less likely. Again, pad the inside with plenty of crumpled paper or bubble wrap.

Be sure to have a clearly readable return address on the box. Putting clear shipping tape over the addresses is wise, as boxes may get wet in shipping and ink runs and can't be read.
Put a sheet of paper with your return address and recipient's address inside the box before sealing it up ... just in case the box gets damaged in shipping, and they can't read the address. I often pack the knife in a smaller box and label that box just like I was going to ship it. Then I put that box in a larger box and label it again. This way, if the box gets damaged in shipping and the address is unreadable, they have a fully addressed box to continue the shipment with.

Put in a note to your recipient with info on the knife and anything else you want to pass on. Be sure to give your phone number and email to the recipient so he can contact you to thank you and discuss the knife.

2) If in doubt about the address or any shipping rules, contact your recipient and double check that the address you have on the label is correct.

3) Fill out all paperwork at the postal facility. Mark the knife as a kitchen/hunting/utility cutting tool and mark it as a gift.

4) Take it to the post office or your preferred shipper and ship it with tracking. Insurance is a good idea, too.
I like to use Flat-Rate boxes. They are sturdy boxes and come with insurance included in the shipping cost. They seem to get handled better in transit because they are tracked continually. Different countries may have their version of these.

5) IMPORTANT - Send me an email as soon as you get it shipped. Send me the tracking number and the exact address you put on the box. This helps in keeping track of the knives.

6) When your KITH knife arrives from whoever was your sender, post a photo or three in this "Woo-Hoo, My KITH Knife Arrived" thread. Also send me an email that the knife arrived and any info you want to pass on to me.

NOTES:
Be aware that VAT taxes or customs/duty taxes may be added by some countries that the recipient has to pay in order to get the knife from the post office. These are paid by the recipient, not the sender. This is why you should list the value at a reasonable level, or Customs will just pick a number they like. I usually list the knife at $100 value.

Before packing, take clear photos of the knife along with the recipient's name and address in the photo. These may be invaluable in the slim chance of an insurance claim.

I just got home from work a few minutes ago, and felt like a kid on christmas morning when I saw the package with a croatian adress at my front door.
Grinning ear to ear, I unpacked a challenging, but well packaged hand forged hatchet, with a sheen of oil. I felt myself get revitalized from the day past, as I turned it in my hands, already imagining my next camping trip.
I will take it through its paces on the weekend, where I can also take some proper pictures, as the lighting conditions (and my crappy camera skills) really don't give it justice, but I figured I should take some for the post

I have received a package from Germany today! I was super excited when I opened it, read a thoughtful letter and then discovered a beautiful box with a fantastic knife inside.

I have tried the knife already, it is a great slicer. It seems that the curve of the edge is very very similar to the gyutos that I use regularly, and the overall ergonomy as well. So I do not have to "retrain" myself and I simply used it the same way as I'm used to and it feels great. Well balanced, the fit and finish is great, no complaints at all. I have already found a place for it in my knife stand, it will be used regularly.

I see only one huge flaw - no makers mark! Seriously, sign your work, you should be proud to put your name on this.

Thank you so much M midnight soda - I could not be happier with your work. Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Alright, after a bit of adventure and some interesting conversation with delivery persons, my knife has arrived 🎉 It's a nice clean piece from scarfoot that is definitely a slicer. Have to figure out where it will stand in the rotation. Merry Christmas to me 😁.

It’s a Christmas miracle!!!

A package with a tracking number from Greece has arrived 😃
Though due to unsuitable opening hours I haven't been able to pick it up from the post office yet

So the weather wasn't the greatest this week, but I had some firewood coming that needed to be chopped and stacked before it got worse, and while a hatchet isn't the right tool for the job, I had to put the splitting axe to the side for a bit, and give Daado's work a try. I mean who can blame me, right :D

Thanks again Daado, and I hope I can use it for the intented purpose soon

Unfortunately no, it closes 30min after I get off work and I don't work close enough. Tomorrow or the day after I should be able to get it during the day though 👍

Glad it got there safe and sound. Enjoy that little fellow and make something awesome with the other stuff. Wolfram will make a wonderful hunter or EDC. Takes an amazing edge.

I forgot to write on the steel - 390-400°F temper = Rc64

I appreciate all of it! I got the wood pieces out first and was looking at some of the blades I’m working on to see which ones might get wood handles. What is the darkest piece of wood? I’m not at all a wood expert. Those pieces of maple are beautiful. They got me thinking the minute I saw them. After I got done playing with the blocks, I got the piece of steel out and was looking at what profiles I might use it for. After about 10 or 15 minutes of daydreaming I remembered there was supposed to be a knife in the box too… I guess that’s when you know you’ve got the knife making bug pretty bad…

It’s a neat little knife and definitely unlike anything in my collection. I’ve spent quite a bit of time looking it over because it’s so unlike anything I’m able to make at this point. My boys will fight over it someday.

The box of random pieces was a cool idea and I appreciate the thought. I think it would be a cool swap/challenge to send makers random pieces and see what kind of knife they could come up with. If I had the free time I’d try to set it up but I’ve barely been in the shop the last 2 weeks.

The dark piece is brown dyed flame maple. The pattern looks really good once shaped into a handle. All are stabilized by K&G.
