"Woo-Hoo, My KITH Knife Arrived" thread

Just opened up my kith knife from pafka pafka and I'm literally speechless.

Really beautiful knife, I've spent more time than I'm willing to admit just staring it. More likely my evening will be spent studying it further. The fit and finish is incredible as well.
The pictures literally do it no justice.
Also, the sheath is really well made and makes it easy to carry.

I can confidently say that this is the most sharp knife I've ever handled, it slices paper towels like nothing.
Finally, I'd like to point out that there were some local micarta like material included in the package which I'm definitely going to use pretty soon.

I couldn't be happier with the knife and I'd like to thank pafka pafka for making such an incredible blade, sheath and including the handle materials!

PS: I'm going to take some better pictures pretty soon.

So I was finally able to pick up the olive knife, and what a beauty it is :)
Very well made, from the sheath to the grind.
I especially love the heirloom fit and the "raw" tang.
Definitely will be finding an excuse to pull it out often, if not just to handle it ;)
Thank you very much Tony and happy Christmas to you all

Finally got home from Austria.
First thing I did after getting some sleep was to open my KITH knife.
It was from Alex Topfer in Australia. Don't confuse Austria and Australia ... as the tee-shirts says, "There are no Kangaroos in Austria".
This knife is really sharp. FFG with a zero grind, Wa handle and kunoichi upper bevel. Just a bit of curve to the edge, which should work well for mincing and small work like garlic and chives, as well as trimming chicken and meats20250105_115049.jpg20250105_115056.jpg20250105_115109.jpg. This will fit in as a smaller knife on the board with my larger Japanese knives.
I gave it the honor of cutting up the marzipan pig for sharing with my family. Marzipan pigs are given at New Years Eve and are cut up and eaten on the first. Mine had to wait and take a trip across the Atlantic until i was home to get eaten.

Thanks Alex, I really like this knife.

Alex, is the handle lace she-oak?

Mine arrived today too!
I like the file work, and the colour is very pretty
