Wood Craft/Utility Field knife Contest

I am in.

I love the feedback potential. Would it be possible to do more than one knife?

Let me know.

Dan

Does the knife have to be a sole authorship?...I am not set up to heat treat..but I can make the knife otherwise.
If someone can heat treat it for me, then I am in.

there are a large number of makers who send blades out for heat threating ot have blanks cut on a waterjet, etc. and that shouldn't exclude someone in my opinion, anymore than not smelting the steel, growing the trees for the scales on your own land or raising or hunting the critter that you skin and tan the hide from to make the sheath.

of course, IF you can do all that, you get some knife god bonus points! :D

but at any rate, seeing the designs submitted for the head to head comparisons like this is awesome. looking forward to seeing all the entrants and the results!

There is a discussion ongoing in the other thread about the possibilities.

List and original post has been updated to allow outsourced heat treatment.

Knife makers please reread and let me know if you have a problem with anything.

Thanks,

Tony

My arms are hurting just thinking about testing all these knives:o

But it's a good hurting:D

Tony, that would be the chopper thread...BUT, I bet you get a blister or two.:D

I'm in. Long time hobbyist, sold a few here and there to support the habit. Sole authorship from raw steel to sheath. I'd just like to see how my stuff stands up against the pros.

Excellent:thumbup:

since there's two threads and a bit of confusion, should we sticky something?
