Simply ALL amazing Murray.
I would have bet a lot that the curly maple was a Hendrickson.
Every detail looks like Jay's work except the sheath's style differs a little.

I agree. Great knives, Murray. Chris Owen does inlayed handles with the best of them. That Cutter spalted box elder handle is something else! That one really stands out.

Some awesome lumber in this thread. VERY impressive display Murray. Tough to decide which I like most. The Hogstrom is right up there.

Thanks for the views.

Those are some great chunks of wood! :D Good thread.

Here is a knife that I made from a particularly good batch of Ironwood. I got the wood from ADI and should still have some hid out someplace around here. It can make a knife look better than it 'wood' have..... Lin:)

Very nice, Lin. The guard and ferrule look like they took a few hours to do
 This model is kinda becoming your trademark.

Yes, that is a nice Hogstrom, it looks oddly famaliar. :)

Here are some knives that gave me, wood.

The olivewood on this one is soooo much nicer than my crappy pic is showing, Anders uses some of the best woods I have seen.

This thread just keeps gettin better. Quite an impressive display Megalobyte. Diverse types of knives and ALL works of artistic beauty!

great display Meg -- if I can't call you Shirley lol. Gee, you recognized the Hogstrom eh? It has a prominent place of display at home.
The second piece -- first dibs ok. that is terrific.

I'd also be more than happy with that Rhea knife posted by a couple of folk.

So many knives so little space left to display.

Gorgeous wood! The knives aren't half bad either! *wink-wink*

Question: Has anyone seen/made any handles of Ziricote? I've seen some with amazing landscape patterns that look more like stone than wood. It could be a great candidate since it's nearly as dense as some ebony I've worked with.
