wood ID please

got this for some firewood from a friend back in the summer before i got into knife making. i am curious as to what you guys think it is? i was told it is hickory but ive never seen yellow hickory before.

My money says that wood is Black Locust, Robina Pseudoacacia. I've seen it a lot around these parts. It is used quite often for fence posts.
