Wood Inlay

Yeah....,stjames pics do look very nice.....,but the nicest Mnandi (IMHO) is one with Mammoth bark ivory!!!

(Actually...,the absolute nicest Mnandi ever is in posession of PiterM.....,do a search on his name.......,he has a Mnandi with Mammoth bark and damascus blade which is awesome!!!!)
Gotta stop typing because I'm starting to drool just thinkin' of that baby!!!

James, I lose serious amounts of drool every time you post pictures. Damn nice stuff you have there. I especially like the box elder CRKs.

Awesome Collection. I have never seen a CR with the wood inlays in person. So I have afew questions. How are they attached to the knife, and will they get messed up or fall off during hard use.

Thanks,
RJD

It's best explained on the CRK website. In short a section of ti is milled out of the handle the same shape as the inlay. with a special double sided sticky tape holding the wood in place (though they wood is a very close fit anyway).
Stablised wood seems to hold up very well but I'm guessing the polished finish of the metals will show scratches more then a standard knife

Well, GOLLY! That's a lot of Woodies!
