if i wanted to stabilize the wood im using what would i need. Lets say I had the money,.-what would be a complete list of everything i needed? There are so many opinions on this that i found and it confuses me. one person did it using a plastic bag and pump, while another says to use a pickle jar. Can someone give me a list and an idea on how to stabilize wood in a semi proffesional way. what would be a few mediums i could use. I dont want to drill holes in a block like one guy did. i would like to stabilize bigger pieces. BR TONY:)

Tony, my method for using Resinol 90C was posted on this forum awhile back. If you do a search for Resinol 90C you probably can find it. If you can't, send me your e-mail address and I will send you some information.

There is a knifemaker with a website called ironwood knives who makes a stabilization machine that works with resinol90c. I have no experience with it nor do I know anyone who does but the author was very kind and informative when I had a few questions referencing his system.

I purchased one of the stabilizing systems from Ironwood Knives. It just arrived Friday and I have it all set up and ready to go. I am just waiting for the Resinol to arrive on Monday. The system is well made and seems easy to use. Jarrett from Ironwood walked me through a dry run over the phone. From what I have seen so far, his system looks like a really good buy for the money. For me, I figure it will pay for itself within the first month.
