I am looking for someone who has the setup to stabilize wood and who would like to make some money doing this for other folks. Does anyone know what the maximum size for the best results would be? Is there anyone in particular you makers would suggest based on your previous expierence?

Regards,

i have some black walnut i need stabalized. 2 boards approx. 2"x6"x60" each. any one who can do that? other wize i'm gonna have to resaw them to 1/4" slabs and chop them up into slabs 12"x 6".

I've thought about setting one up. I've seen several posts about it. How difficult is one to make. I make some wild handle materials and would like to be able to do it. I guess I should learn.

I haven't tried them yet but a friend of mine who makes knives likes their work. They charge by the pound. He finds it's cheaper to buy wood and have them stabilize it than to buy wood already stabilized.

wood. The charge by the pound. They do very good work and are reasonable.

nah, they can't do anything that big, i'll just have to cut them into slabs, before i get the job done.
