Wood turning dark.......

Is there some kind of wax or sealer that can be put on wood to keep it from turning dark from age and sunlight?

Some woods darken from oxidation of the surface, others from the effects of UV light.There are Polyurethane finishes on the market that are deigned to block UV and that should be stated on the label.
