Wood vs Titanium

I'm a titanium junkie when it comes to folders. I'll have linerlock folders converted to Ti framelocks, Ti scales made, etc. It's that bad 😁
For fixed blades though, I'll favor wood or phenolics.

Titanium + fat carbon = best of both worlds

Hold up, wait…..time out for a second.

What am I looking at here? It’s making me tingle in funny places and I can’t stop staring at it.

Thanks in advance!

Ok, time in. All participants may now resume play.

It's the Varga VBR. You can buy it right now from his website, but only the variant with a black PVD coating on the titanium is available. Highly recommended regardless, really great knife at a good price.

Both are light and beautiful but I am just starting to like Ti and wood has to be my first choice in terms of beauty.

It’s like what Biden said when asked if he prefers boxers or briefs:

“Depends”

For a gent’s carry: mammoth ivory, wood, bone, vintage micarta. For a working knife micarta or G10.

Any metal has no personality!! 🤨
Sorry!! 😞

Agreed, has to be given personality at least. I have only one knife, the Spyderco Advocate, that is just solid Ti, even that is "Orange Peel" textured.

I am way more likely to buy a "plain" wood knife. Buck 110 is amazing.

Also, aluminum is underrated when used properly. I have a PM2 with full aluminum scales, just gave it to my girl, want to get scales for my Yoj2 in alum. Microtech, Boker Kalashnikov, Espada XL, all great knives with aluminum.
