Woodchuck pics for Btice

Aard, I noticed that both of the handles reacted differently to the tru-oil. One soaked it up faster than the other and I'm sure it has to do with the seasoning of the wood and the tightness of the grain.

Or maybe it was the way I put the masking tape on.;)

I'm in the same boat as Steve; I can't find the repaired spot on the AK.

The tru-oil treatment really helped to blend in the repair. It looks like one of the alternating bands of lighter colored wood. I am pleased with the way it turned out and the repair has stood up to a real pounding.
