Woodchucks Help !!!

Are there any woodworking or furniture repair shops near you? One of these shops might have some permanent wood filler that's the right color or accepts stain. Fill the area, sand to shape, stain or dye the repair to help hide it.
 
Thats a plan - I was just going to epoxy it !! Maybe a pro could do it better !!
